- Arrival of the participants in Assen and accommodation at 'Hotel de Jonge' in the afternoon.
- At 17 h presentation of the course in the Conference Room of the same hotel where they explained to us the basic guidelines of the course to be developed throughout the week. They also gave us a presentation about the country and the region of Assen city with a car tour and its most important areas, although the most entertaining area is the nearby city of Groningen where the University is located.
- 'European Fair'
Participants were asked to bring a typical gastronomic product of their countries to share later in another room and so we did. It was a very nice activity for "breaking the ice” that made possible the first contact and communication between the participants.

2nd day: Monday 14th October 2019
(Workshop topics 1,2,3,4,6 and 7 were carried out)
- Morning: Meeting in the Conference Room where the presentations of each participating school were done. These were 12 schools from 7 European countries: Italy, France, Estonia, Iceland, Romania, Hungary and Spain.
The course speakers then gave a presentation on the Dutch education system.

- Afternoon: Visit to the History Archive of the Drents region in Assen where they have an extensive programme of educational activities for students of all levels. There we did some of these activities:

-Team quest of a treasure that was in a room using Dutch-language clues that they read in a computer application. It was very fun and motivating.

-Interactive screen with different activities like joining images of objects of the past with the current equivalents: cars, furniture...

-Viewing of a video about the School in the past.

-We ended up doing a kind of gymkhana of finding statues and places on the outside of the building where clues were to be followed on a mobile phone.

3rd day: Tuesday 15th October 2019
(Workshop topics 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 were carried out)
- Morning:
Visit to the “Drents Museum”. It was a theatrical visit to a museum (which is an old manor house) dealing with the story of famous characters of Assen, who were inhabitants of the house in the eighteenth century. It is an activity that includes dramatization and tells the story in a playful and motivating way.

Workshop of "Lego listening": It is a communication activity in couples in which one of the two people gives the instructions to make a figure with pieces of Lego that must be identical to the one given as a model. In this activity the greatest handicap was linguistic as they communicated in English, which was not the mother tongue of any of the participants.
7th day: Saturday 19th October 2019
- Afternoon:
Workshop of music, painting and creativity: Collective elaboration of a mural with colours related to a specific theme following music. At each music change you have to change place and/ or colour.

Visit to the windmill and "De Watcher" museum in Zuidlaren.
Typical Dutch windmill where the guide, who was a former mill worker, has explained to us aspects such as the function and the operation and history of the mills in the Netherlands. It is a place where students see in first person the process of producing flour, thread and flax oil.
Students learn about history in an interdisciplinary way, mathematical concepts relating to the operation of the mill blades and others such as the real use of renewable energy sources. Finally they make their own bread, which is a very important product in the Netherlands.

Visit to the Mill Museum: There were a lot of tradition street organ, pianos and objects as curious as a miniature typewriter in which the principles of computers and the new technologies of today were intuited.al objects donated by private individuals such as a street organ, pianos and objects as curious as a miniature typewriter in which the principles of computers and the new technologies of today were intuited. as a pianos and objects as curious as a miniature typewriter in which the principles of computers and the new technologies of today were intuited.

Storytelling workshop as a didactic strategy for experimental learning»

With the help of a material called "Storycubes", the class is divided into teams that have to create a story based on characters and given actions. Once the story is written, each group is asked to represent it without words, with mimicry, and the audience has to guess what the story is about. It is a very creative, motivating and fun activity.
